Her nonfiction essays and book reviews have been published in The Boston Globe, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and HuffPost.com. Julie co-wrote and -produced a serial mystery podcast for middle-grade children, and she is Professor Emeritus at The University of Akron, where she has taught creative writing in the English Department for ten years. Originally from the Gulf Coast of Florida, Julie now lives in Ohio where there’s no salt water, but the seasons are breathtaking and the hiking glorious.
